Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m)

You arrive in Kathmandu, which is the capital city of Nepal. There, you are greeted at Tribhuvan International Airport by our representative. You reach your hotel in a luxurious vehicle and get a chance to relax from your travel. The exciting and lively city of Kathmandu itself, along with historical temples and streets full of life, helps ease your introduction into the culture of Nepal.

Later in the day, a comprehensive briefing before the start of the trek will be given by the guide. Day 2: Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley (1,400 m)

Your day starts with guided sightseeing around the city of Kathmandu, taking in some of the most significant cultural and historical attractions that the country has to offer. A private vehicle takes you to see UNESCO World Heritage Sites that represent the strong spiritual and artistic traditions of the region. 

The major attractions in the valley include the Kathmandu Durbar Square, which houses ancient palaces, courtyards, and temples in the style of traditional Newari architecture. Then you make a visit to the Swayambhunath Stupa located atop a hill, which gives a panoramic view of the valley and immense information about the Buddhist culture of Nepal. It further includes the Hindu rituals performed on the banks of the Bagmati River in the Pashupatinath Temple.

Day 3: Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding (2,610 m)

Early in the day, you fly out to the airport for a scenic trip to Lukla. The trip is only about 35 to 40 minutes and provides breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and the top of the mountains in the snow. You will land at one of the most adventurous airstrips in the world and then meet up with the crew that will be with you on the trekking adventure. Finally, you will trek to Phakding. 

The trekking route is downhill and takes you by the side of the Dudh Kosi River. You also get to see many Sherpa villages and even spinning prayer wheels and colorful mani stones that have prayers from the followers of Buddhism. The surrounding area gives you a sense of calm and greenery, introducing you to life on the trek. Once you get to Phakding, you spend the day unwinding while staying at a lodge.

Day 4: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m)

This day introduces you to a gradual altitude gain. The trail continues up along the Dudh Koshi River, crossing several suspension bridges, including the famous Hillary Suspension Bridge. Following this, you enter Sagarmatha National Park, where the dominating features are forested paths and mountain scenery. Beyond Jorsale, which lies inside Sagarmatha National Park, the trail begins a long ascent to Namche Bazaar. The section is quite challenging but equally rewarding, as clear weather often shows the first glimpse of Mount Everest with Lhotse and Nuptse. The climb slowly opens up into Namche Bazaar-a vibrant, amphitheater-shaped town carved into the mountainside.

Namche Bazaar is the commercial hub of the Khumbu region and is replete with bakeries, cafes, trekking shops, and local markets. Checking into a high-quality lodge and having time to explore the town or simply relax and take in the mountain views.

Day 5: Hotel Everest View Acclimatization Hike

Day 6: Hike from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,860 m)

After Namche, you take the path up the trail that enhances your journey with spectacular, continuous mountain views. You then pass through the forests of pine and rhododendron, after which a descent is made to the Dudh Koshi River. The route then climbs steadily up towards Tengboche, with dramatic Himalayan backdrops throughout the day. As the day proceeds and you turn another bend, the famous monastery at Tengboche is seen against the backdrop of the stunning peak of Ama Dablam. It is the spiritual center of the Khumbu region and important for Sherpa culture.

Day 7: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4,410 m)

The trek starts with a continuous downward journey through the forests after crossing the Imja Khola River. On this route, you will find the oldest Sherpa village of the area named Pangboche. When you pass the village of Pangboche, the entire area changes drastically. The areas full of trees are replaced with mountainsides and valleys.Initial part of the trail has a steady increase towards the village of Dingboche. Day 8 : Acclimatization Day in Dingboche (4,410 m)

The short hike in the day improves oxygen adaptation while keeping the physical stress manageable. Day 10: Everest Base Camp Trek and return to Gorak Shep (5,140m)

After trekking and touring the last nine days, this day will be the most essential part of your adventure. On this day, you will trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep and further to the Khumbu Glacier and ultimately to the Everest Base Camp. The topography is rocky and glaciated, so you will need to walk carefully.

Trekking to the Everest Base Camp can be a truly emotional and satisfying experience. The novelty of standing at the feet of the highest mountain peak in the world, with ice formations and mountain ranges, is an experience that will always be remembered. Day 11: Kala Patthar Summit Trek (5,550 meters) and Helicopter Flight to Kathmandu (1,350 m)

You start your day before dawn in order to trek up Kala Patthar, which provides an excellent point for the view of Mount Everest. The trek is not so easy, but the effort has been well worth it. You have an outstanding view of Mount Everest and the peak of Nuptse when the sun rises. You then head back to Gorak Shep and fly back to Pokhara in a helicopter.
