Day 3: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla and trek to Phakding along the Dudh Koshi River (2,610 m)

The path then slowly climbs up the gorgeous pine and rhododendron trees with the Dudh Koski river running beside it, which makes a lovely and picturesque trekking experience. As you go along the path, you pass a number of suspension bridges with colorful prayer flags that provide incredible views of the river and the mountains around it.

As you come closer to Namche Bazaar, the landscape starts to open up, and there is a panoramic view of the towering Himalayan mountains with Ama Dablam in the background.
