Overview

Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour offers a unique Himalayan adventure that blends luxury, convenience, and adventure into one unforgettable trip. The day starts in Kathmandu, with a transfer early in the morning to the domestic airport. As you lift off in your helicopter, the city gradually fades away, being replaced by rolling mountains, winding rivers and finally the towering peaks of the Himalayas.

The landscape changes dramatically as you fly east towards the Everest region. Before entering the alpine zone, you pass through traditional villages, dense forest, and deep valleys. Lukla is a good place to fuel up and prepare for your journey at higher altitudes. The flight then continues on to the Khumbu region, where you will see glaciers, icefalls and some of the most famous peaks in the entire world.

Your landing at Kala Pathar, where you are face-to-face with Mount Everest, is the highlight of this tour. After a spectacular breakfast at Everest View Hotel in one of the world's most beautiful dining environments, your journey comes to a close. This tour is perfect for those who don't want to spend the time trekking up Everest.

What can you expect on a Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour?

The tour is a visually and dynamically stunning journey. Every minute of your helicopter ride is filled with breathtaking scenery. Aerial perspective allows you to appreciate the beauty and scale of the Himalayas in a way that is impossible from the ground.

You will see a wide variety of landscapes in a short time as you fly above the Everest region. The lush greenery at lower elevations gives way to rocky terrains, glacial riverbeds, and towering mountains. On top of this, the flight is well-managed and smooth, so you can fully enjoy the view without any discomfort.

The landing at Kala Patthar will be the highlight of your tour. At this altitude, the air is crisp and thin at this altitude. It feels surreal and is an opportunity to take photos and enjoy the stunning scenery of the Everest region from one of the most picturesque viewpoints. This quick stop will ensure your safety and make it an experience you will never forget.

You can also enjoy a delicious breakfast at Everest View Hotel while enjoying the mountain views. Before you leave, you will get one last opportunity to witness the beauty of the Himalayas as you head back to Kathmandu.

When is the best time to go on the Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour?

The best time to take your Everest helicopter trip is crucial for the experience. Spring from March to April and autumn from September until November are the best seasons, as they are characterized by stable weather and clear skies.

Spring is a great time to fly because the temperatures are pleasant and the lower regions look vibrant and green. Autumn offers crisp, clear views, allowing you to see Everest and its surrounding peaks. These seasons offer the best combination between weather stability and scenic beauty.

In the monsoon period, from June to August there is a greater amount of rain and clouds, particularly in the lower areas. Flights will still operate, despite the reduced visibility. However, spring and autumn are the best seasons to visit if you are interested in enjoying the beautiful sight of the mountains, as well as favorable flight conditions.
